Ekans the Snake Pokemon: This reptilian Pokémon resembles a Rattlesnake. It has a rattle at the tip of its tail, and is mostly purple while its underbelly, eyes, rattle, and the "bands" on it are yellow. Ekans are able to detach their jaws to swallow large prey whole, although this makes their bodies heavy. It can also use its tongue to sense danger, and can move quietly through the grass. Like actual snakes, Ekans will lash out with a bite when frightened by anything it sees as a threat. If one happens to be bitten by a young Ekans, they should see medical assistance as soon as possible. Ekans live in grassy savannas and plains. It also inhabits cemeteries. It is normally found in Kanto and Johto, but has been encountered in Sinnoh on rare occasions. Ekans' favorite food is Eggs from Pidgey and Spearow nests, as well as their young.

Arbok the Cobra Pokemon: Arbok is a serpentine, reptilian Pokémon with purple scales over most of its body. It has lost the rattle it had on its tail as an Ekans. Like a cobra, it can spread out its ribs into a hood, though they always seem to be in this position. On its "hood", it has a design much like an angry face. Studies on the aforementioned design have confirmed that there are six variations. It has a nasty bite with deadly venom. Terrifically strong, it is capable of crushing opponents by coiling its body around them and constricting. It can even flatten steel oil drums. If it encounters an enemy, it raises its head, intimidating the opponent with the frightening pattern on its body and making eerie sounds by expelling air from its mouth. If any part of Arbok's body except for the head is cut off, it can regrow the rest of its body again in a matter of a few weeks. It shares this trait with Onix. It also has the ability to detect vibrations. Arbok are also capable of spending long periods underwater and surviving in aquatic environments. Arbok can change their pattern at any time to increase power to different stats and also give it invulnerability to status ailments. However, if covered, the pattern will not work. Rather vicious, Arbok are territorial. They lash out at intruders with long fangs tipped with deadly venom. With a vengeful nature, it will not give up a chase once it targets its prey or an opponent, no matter how far. Arbok live in grassy savannas and plains. It is native to Kanto and Johto, but have been encountered in Sinnoh from time to time. In the wild, Arbok are hunters of smaller Pokémon, using the pattern on its hood to immobilize prey and using its venom to finish them off. Arbok is the final form of Ekans.

Seviper the Fang Snake Pokemon: Seviper are fairly large snake Pokémon that are usually depicted scrunched up like an accordion. They are mostly black in color, but have several markings on their body. Seviper have yellow hexagon markings that run from their head to their tail, small yellow circles and various purple scar-like marks. Seviper has several different weapons it can use in battle, such as elongated red fangs that protrude from the mouth and a partially red-colored, bladelike tail that it can use to stab or swipe. Seviper also have fierce red eyes that make it able to use attacks like Glare. Seviper can create a horrible poison that it can channel through either the tail or fangs, quickly dispatching prey. It was the first Pokemon known to use Poison Tail before other Pokemon were discovred to use the move. They are also known to use Flamethrower. Seviper are bitter enemies with Zangoose, willing to battle them to the bitter end. It is suggested that this feud has lasted for quite some time. It sharpens its swordlike tail on hard rocks for battle, and may hide in tall grass and strike unwary prey with its venomous fangs. They live in places such as plains and forest to search for prey. Seviper is a carnivore, hiding in tall grass. It uses its long tongue to sense prey. Then it strikes unawary prey with its venomous fangs. Their prey may include Zangoose due to their hatred towards them. Seviper do not evolve, they are related to Ekans and Arbok but are not part of their evlutionary line.
